BIBLE REALISM
The opposite of a Bible
Inerrantist
is a Bible Realist.
A Realist calls a spade a
spade;
In the Bible he calls an
error an error.
If an Engineer built a
bridge
with errors in its design,
he might choose to ignore
the errors
or call them something else:
“lack of
technical precision,” “irregularities,” “approximations,”
“unresolved
difficulties,”
“exaggerations,”
“mistakes of copyists,”* etc.,
but the bridge
would still
fall down!
*These are terms the
Inerrantists use.
